Giverny

The small village of Giverny in the Seine valley owes its fame to one of the masters of Impressionism, Claude Monet.

It is indeed here that the artist lived until his death in 1926. His body rests in the parish cemetery.

Today, tourists from all over the world come to visit the Monet's house, his studio and the dazzling gardens with a thousand flowers chosen for their harmony.

The Japanese bridge and the water garden will make you relive the pictorial universe of the brilliant creator of the "Water Lilies". The orientalist garden must absolutely be visited during the water lily season.

Also be sure to visit the Museum of Impressionisms with its temporary exhibitions that provide a better understanding of the history of the impressionism.
