Gourmet tours
As you stroll through the Eure, discover the local specialties that embody the generosity and authenticity of this region.
Whether it's at vibrant, flavorful markets, directly at the farm with the producer, or in restaurants ranging from bistros to fine dining, you'll find something to suit your taste!
On the edge of the Lyons forest, the Musée de la Ferme de Rome evokes the scent of cream and childhood memories.
Created by former farmers, the museum houses over 2,000 objects and kitchen utensils related to dairy production and the making of dairy products.
Butter and cheese molds, butter churns, salt and spice boxes, a collection of enamel coffee pots and soup tureens, milking pails, yogurt pots from 1900 to 1960, milk bottles, Camembert labels... it’s a whole agricultural past that comes to life.
Also enjoy a unique experience. From May to November, once a month, the Chemin de fer de la Vallée de l'Eure operates a restaurant train. A traditional Norman menu is served to guests in a 1910 carriage.
To complete the visit, a tasting of local products will be offered. Crepes, madeleines, cider... everything is "homemade."
