On the edge of the forest of Lyons, the Rome Farm Museum smells of cream and memories of childhood.
Created by former farmers, the museum brings together more than 2,000 objects and kitchen utensils related to dairy production and the manufacture of dairy products.
Butter and cheese moulds, churns, salt and spice boxes, collection of enamel coffee pots and soup tureens, milking buckets, yoghurt pots from 1900 to 1960, milk bottles, camembert labels... that's all a resurgent agricultural past.
Also take advantage of an unusual idea. Once a month, from May to November, the Chemin de fer de la Vallée de l'Eure runs a restaurant train. A typical Norman menu is served to guests in a 1910 car.meals-a-board< /p>
To complete the visit, you will be offered a tasting of local products. Crêpes, madeleines, cider... everything is "homemade".
